She mentioned that she is very mindful of what she is thinking. In fact, she is very careful to make sure that she only thinks positive thoughts.
For example, she said, I made a date with someone on match.com and I’m being careful with how I think about it.
“I’m not thinking negatively, she exclaimed. “I’m focusing on the positive. Whenever I think about my upcoming date, I’m careful to make sure that I don’t expect that he’ll be interesting to me because I don’t want to be disappointed. Yikes. This isn’t positive thinking.
She’s expecting that nothing good will come out of her date.
It’s False Positive Thinking.
It’s not going to get her where she wants to go. Whatever she thinks about and focuses on is the direction she is headed.
Is she expecting things to go well? Not at all.
She’s expecting that nothing good will happen.
