Amazon.com has succeeded in so many ways.
Starting from almost nothing it is a website unlike any other. Â Super successful in a myriad of ways.
Our family often uses Amazon.com to watch videos, buy books, and send gifts to others. It’s always easy to use and we consider it our own personal department store 🙂
One thing that Amazon.com also does so well is test out new stuff.
For example, let’s take a look at their new lineless grocery. The Amazon Go grocery store, now in the testing stage in Seattle, has captured the public’s attention. At a time of year when many people are standing in long lines to do their holiday shopping, the idea of being able to walk into a store, pick things up, walk out and have everything automatically charged to a credit card sounds like a dream come true.
It’s a fascinating idea, isn’t it?
But will it work well?
Will people enjoy going to the Amazon Go Grocery?
If it fails, what will Amazon Go do? If it fails, Amazon won’t go broke. I guarantee that.
What Amazon.com does that so many people don’t, is that they are not afraid to try new things. They are not afraid to put a new concept out in the universe regardless of what others think. They are not afraid to fail.
In fact, if Amazon Go doesn’t work, Amazon.com will learn from their experience and continue to do great stuff.
Imagine if Thomas Edison was swayed by someone’s opinion. We’d probably still be in the dark.
What if Elon Musk listened to others and gave up his idea to put batteries in his Tesla?
YOUR IDEAS
Have you ever had a great idea and someone told you “That’s ridiculous. No one will buy that,” or “That won’t work”.
There will always be people who criticize your ideas. Maybe they are jealous. Maybe they think they are helping you. The key to success is to trust to your intuition and keep on moving forward.
And know that failing really means that you’re still learning…
